Strong together.

WE ARE THORWESTEN

At THORWESTEN, one thing is paramount: people. As a family-run company, we know that true success is only possible as a team. Cohesion is our passion - not just in words, but as reality, every day.

Working together, growing together: Our employees are more than just colleagues - they are part of a strong community. We value trust, open communication, and equal cooperation, because this is the only way to achieve sustainable solutions and real success.

Whether in production, in the office, or with our customers – everyone at our company sticks together, thinks for themselves, and supports each other. We promote teamwork and personal responsibility equally because we believe that when everyone gives their best and can rely on one another, something great will happen.

THORWESTEN - it’s not just a company, it’s a team!

There is no problem, because every problem already contains the solution.

We offer you individual machine concepts.

From practitioners for practitioners.

We offer our customers online service.

Upon customer request, our application engineers program new customized profile machining processes, new profiles, or complete profile systems, which can be transferred directly to the machine control system via remote maintenance software. Diagnostics and software maintenance can also be performed online.

Our designers are not only well-versed in theory, but also in practice. The result: proven solutions that contribute significantly to efficient, economical, and high-quality production.

At THORWESTEN, every machine concept is individually tailored to the customer. "Everything from a single source" is our motto – from delivery and commissioning to maintenance. Internal guidelines and quality controls ensure the high quality you've come to expect from THORWESTEN.

Our company philosophy stands for "extra" performance and a commitment to meeting the high demands placed on us in a customer- and service-oriented manner. Our goal is to perfectly meet the demands of window and front door manufacturers for long machine uptime, precision, cost-effectiveness, and easy maintenance with sophisticated machine concepts.

How it all began.

HISTORY

1990

The founding

A student idea became reality: Martin Rumpf and Ralf Thorwesten founded the company THORWESTEN. Their first product—a sunroof for cars—marked the beginning of a successful company history.

1999

Profile machining center. PBZ.

With the expansion of its machine portfolio with the new PBZ product, a new business area opened up for THORWESTEN. This marked the beginning of innovative solutions in a new market segment.

2003

Double miter saw. DGS.

The company developed the double-cut miter saw (DGS) – its second major product. This solution set new standards in precision window manufacturing.

2005

New office building

The construction of the new office building created space for additional employees. It offers modern workplaces, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and improved spatial conditions for employees and visitors.

2007

Expansion of production

As part of the capacity expansion, the production area was significantly enlarged through the construction of a new hall. The total area increased by 1,600 square meters, from the previous 1,000 square meters to a total of 2,600 square meters. This laid the foundation for more efficient production and future growth.

2008

Automatic sawing center. ASZ.

With the AZS, THORWESTEN presented its third product. It replaced the DGS and impressed with improved technology and efficiency – a significant step in the further development of the company's portfolio.

2015

Realignment of the management level

Martin Rumpf took over sole management after Ralf Thorwesten left the company, thus initiating the next phase of corporate management.

2020

The next generation

Luca Rumpf, Martin Rumpf's son, joined the company. With his mechanical engineering degree and an MBA with a focus on business management, he brings fresh impetus to strategic development, internal projects, marketing, and human resources. Martin Rumpf remains responsible for design and new developments.

2024

Enclosure and enlargement of machining

With the relocation of production to the new production hall, important structural changes were implemented. At the same time, the machining and assembly areas were significantly expanded. The expanded space creates optimal conditions for improved processes, increased production capacity, and future developments within the company.
